Tried lots of different protein powder..PHD, CNP, BSN, Myofusion, Reflex.. and will not go back to any of them after trying ONs product. Long lasting and great tasting (vanilla)

Best whey out there and the chocolate mint tastes like an aero milkshake

Very good products. I really like the Vanilla Ice cream, and extreme milk choc flavour.

Banana tastes good until you get to the chemical after taste. I am not buying that again. Prefer the USN banana whey, eventhough it bloats me.

This product has great nutritional values and a great reputation but the taste wasn't up to much and with so much competition on the market I wouldn't buy again.

I've tasted Choc Mint, French Vanilla and Rocky Road - for me Choc Mint wins. Tastes nice, easy to mix. What more do you need.

Used this for a while now and the results are brilliant, always had the Choc Mint and it tasted great, but they have now changed there suppliers and this flavour is now nasty. I will re-order this but not the mint choc flavour again as i almost gagged with the last lot, such a shame as it was by far the best flavour of any protein drink!

This was recommended to me by my trainer, great tasting, all the protein you could ever need without the rubbish! been using about 18 months now. Highly recommend.

I've tried a fair few protein powders now, and i wouldn't have chosen this *again* unless i hadn't considered it to be the best problem

Overall, it has a good whey blend, (like many good powders), along with a decent amino acid complex, including 4 grams of glutamine and "precursers" - whatever that entails (even though i'm taking it with 5g of my own glutamine ...out of greed i suppose).

BUT, what get's to me is that this product is more than half the price in the states.. and 40£ in a month does sting.
After buying this my friend mentioned sci-mentor premium whey, which on paper is arguably marginally better than this product, and can be found for less than 25£. Since my friend let my try his, the drawbacks of the sci-mentor whey is that; it doesn't mix quite as well as ON (not something that personally phases me when using a shaker), it's not available on thesupplementstore (which is a shame because the delivery is always superb here.. less than 24 hours if you order before 1pm, and they even texted me an estimated delivery hour that morning.. very grateful), and ofcourse another drawback is i haven't tested sci-mentor for results...

The markup on brands bugs me.. so i would advise optimum nutrition... but for 40£.. i think you can go elsewhere.. which i will do once this is through

Both have good taste ofcourse, once you have tasted a variety of powders, and unflavoured protein, you know how well they cover that up lol.

peace!

I wanted a decent whey shake so I bought cookies and cream. When I first tasted it, I thought it was vile and revolting and the smell of the powder itself is sickening but after a few more shakes I began to enjoy the taste a lot more especially with milk. Good taste but don't expect Haagen Daaz

I used this product for years and loved the taste and results from it. After a year off training I bought a tub and can't drink the stuff! They've added sucralose and something else to make it foam a bit when you shake it and tastes absolutely awful now. Very unhappy, I have to find a new powder again :( Not happy, Optimum Nutrition!

DO NOT be put off by the cheaper price than other products, this is the dogs!!!. It seems to last for weeks, even when having two shakes a day.

The taste is as refreshing as a mcdonalds shake and its easily mixs in a shaker. Have been using for three months and have seen a steady increase in lean muscle.

Probably worth taking a creatine product alongside just to amplify the effects though.

Choc mint flavour is great. I find that this is easy on my stomach which helps as it can be quite sensitive. I definitely recommend it.

ive just started taking this and i find strawberry quite revolting. I would like to try other flavours and see how they are also. The positive is the amount of servings in one tub. Id also be really grateful if anyone left any suggestions to which flavours you would recommend to buy

As far as Im concerned, this is the best bodybuilding supplement on the market. I get the double rich chocolate flavour (chocolate) because there are no artificial sweeteners and tastes great!

I have half a scoop with my porridge in the morning and 30g after the gym - great lean muscle gains!

The best whey protein on this site, without a doubt. O.N. know their science when it comes to proteins. I have used this product for only a month and I have put on gain and increase in muscle size immediately, without exaggerating. Your probably reading this and thinking im exaggerating but honeslty im not. I have trained hard and prepared my diet immaculately with high carbs as well as protein. I have lost fat around my waist and abs as I am eating right and cut off any artificial foods and fast food.
A specialist company with results be disciplined, otherwise you will moan on how crap products are. Bodybuilding is a disciplined sport.

ON\'s products are generally very high quality, and this protein powder is the best tasting one I have used, and I have used a lot of different brands (EAS, Prolab, MuscleTech, to name a few). It mixes great and tastes great. Recommended.

great product, noticed my six pack for the first time in ages and its great.Strawberry tastes nice.

The chocolate flavour tastes disgusting, and smells even worse. I can only liken the smell to.. stagnant water + chemicals. But its cheap with protein in it, just nip your nose and chug it down.

Optimum nutrition make excellent tasting, easy mixing, cheap protein. Highly recommended for begginers and pros alike. Been using this stuff for 1.5 years now and see no reason to switch.

Q & A

Q. what is the direction of taking this suppliment
A.

You can take as many servings as you like really. Most people take 2 or 3 servings per day and many people use 2 scoops. Basically, if you train hard and often, are a large person and/or if you don't get a lot of quality protein at meals or don't eat 6 or more meals and snacks per day, then you should probably be taking more protein.

sorry for the delayed response due to essential maintenance.

Q. i want to get more definition would this benefit me.and if so when should i use is it after workout and bedtime?
A.

Yes, increasing protein and cutting carbs is the most effective way to lose fat (and not muscle). Take it after training, first thing in the morning just before breakfast and just before bed. And/or other times when you go too long without protein or with meals that are low in high-qualtiy protein.

Q. ive beeen weight lifting for a year and half now and am ready to bulk up and start using supplements. would this be a good protein to use. if so when should i use it and how much. thanks kev, 20.
A.

For pure gains in muscle and strength, Nitro-Tech is probably the most effective (but also the most exepensive), Other excellent proteins are PhD Pharma Whey, Whey Protein Hardcore, USN Whey Protein and Whey Maxx.
If you aren't eating a high-calorie, high-protein diet including 5 or 6 meals per day, you will get better mass-building results from taking a weight gainer like Mutant Mass (along with powdered creatine) or Mass-Tech or Muscle Fuel Anabolic (which already contain creatine) - start off with 2 to 3 scoops twice daily and increase until you are gaining the desired amount of weight per week (1/2 to 2 kilos).

Q. Can i mix this with BSN cellmass creatine ? because it would be easier to mix them both together then for me to take two different supplement shakes ??
A.

Yes there is no problem mixing creatine into your protein shake. The only consideration is how they might taste together. For maximum retention of creatine in the muscle, ensure to take carbohydrates along with or just after your protein shake.
